Attempted Robbery In Knoxville Foiled By Prepared Store Owner

On December 20th, a man walked into the Knoxville convenience store, City Gas, with his gun drawn and pointed it at a clerk’s face. When he got to the cash register, the owner of the business shot at the suspected robber multiple times with his personal handgun. The suspect was hit at least once, as you can see in the surveillance camera he starts to limp as he runs for his life out the door.

Opposing Views states that investigators at the scene followed a trail of blood that led them to the spot where the suspect’s vehicle was parked. A witness told authorities the vehicle was a silver Dodge Caravan with black rims and a plastic back window held together with duct tape.

The suspect is still missing and police are working to find him. He is described as a black male, about 5’10” tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask and a navy blue hooded sweatshirt with “A E 5” printed on the front.

No one besides the suspect were injured during the shootout.
