Brittney Husbyn and fiancé Briggs Fussy have already practiced walking down the aisle together… in 1995 as flower girl and ring bearer. They took their second and final trip to the alter as bride and groom just last weekend 19 years later.
The newlyweds first met when they were 3 years old in 1995- the ring bearer was the bride’s godson, and the flower girl was the daughter of a close friend. They reunited in their freshman year in high school in 2007 when they ended up in the same government class after Briggs transferred to Brittney’s high school, as the NY Post wrote. Their families each had a picture of them as 3-year olds hung on their wall or tucked in a photo album. Brittney recognized Briggs from the picture and turned around one day in class and said, “I think I have a picture of you on my wall at home.”
They started dating in their junior year 2 years after they reunited and their love remained strong, even through their separation to attend different colleges. Briggs started out at University of Wisconsin, LaCross, but he soon returned home to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato to be with Brittney since, as he stated, “I knew I was going to marry her.” Now, both 22, the couple got hitched, and both of their families, especially the Godmother, who now claims all the credit for their marriage, were delighted.
