Massive 2015 March For Life Event Rocked D.C.

On Thursday last week, the 42nd annual March For Life took place at the National Mall in Washington D.C. Organizers estimated that at least 300,000 marchers showed up and packed the streets, making it an incredible spectacle to witness.

The marchers listened to political and religious speakers before marching to the steps of the Supreme Court.

Similar to the past years, the rally was dominated by young Catholics, including many from Catholic colleges and youth groups that took busses from all over the U.S. to be part of the scene.

There were minor issues with pro-abortion protesters, but there were very few compared to the pro-life marchers (only a few hundred compared to the hundreds of thousands). Some of the counter-protesters were arrested, although it is uncertain on what charges they were arrested under.

The event was full of life, love, hope, and faith. By the end, as the protesters chanted “Hey hey, ho ho, Roe v. Wade has got to go,” which was the Supreme Court 1973 decision that legalized abortion on the basis that abortion is a “constitutional right,” it was obvious that the rally’s purpose was to protest the Supreme Court’s decision and to move to end legalization of abortion.
