ISIS Video Shows Second Japanese Hostage Beheaded

A new ISIS video appears to show the decapitated body of hostage Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, after an English-language lecture is given to the people of Japan by masked ISIS member “Jihadi John,” who appears to be the same British-accented that is thought to have killed American journalist James Foley and others.

No mention was made of Moaz (Muath) al-Kasasbeh, a Jordanian pilot who the Jordanian government agreed to trade would-be suicide bomber, Sajida al-Rishawi, for.

In the previous video ISIS released, a voice that was supposedly Goto’s explained that he had “24 hours left to live and the pilot has even less.”

The little over 1-minute long video was released Saturday by ISIS media wing Al Furqan Media, like many others before, apparently putting an end to a frantic past couple of days in which Japan officials tried negotiating to save Goto’s life.

The video opens with a black slate that reads “A Message to Japan.” The video then shows a kneeling Goto wearing an orange outfit with “Jihadi John” standing behind him.

The terrorist speaks while holding a knife in his left hand.

“To the Japanese government. You, like your foolish allies in the satanic coalition, have yet to understand that we by Allah’s grace are an Islamic caliphate with honor and power, thirsty for your blood.”

[To Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe] “Abe, because of your reckless decision to take part in an un-winnable war, this knife will not only slaughter Kenji but will carry on and cause carnage wherever your people are found. So, let the nightmare for Japan begin.”

The video cuts to black as the militant puts the knife to Goto’s throat. It then shows the apparent result of the decapitation, without being clear who conducted the execution.

The video is still in the midst of being confirmed for authenticity, but it’s not looking good.

Japan, the U.S. and other nations have all deeply condemned the “atrocious” act.

Fox News National Security Expert KT McFarland, who served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs under President Reagan, discusses how to possibly fight ISIS back. She mentions how ISIS is using hostages as currency to us now, which makes them valuable to the terror group. We need to de-value the currency otherwise they will just hold and execute more hostages, she explains. ISIS asks for ransom and trades, but they really are just using hostages as propaganda for their group and as a recruiting tool.

Every nation that has been threatened by ISIS needs to pool together money to “put the bounty on their heads,” meaning that they will offer $200 million (for example) to anyone who leads to the capture of the terrorists.

“We need an economic, a military, a financial, a diplomatic, across the board way of doing this, because this is a war that we are losing,” McFarland says.

Other reports are stating that it also possible that, since no mention of the Jordanian pilot was mentioned, the video showing Goto beheaded was filmed a while back, possibly at the same time as the other Japanese hostage, Yakawa, was beheaded. So, ISIS planned to get their terrorist back and never follow through with their side of the deal.
