While Dan Williams, an Oklahoma Eagle Scout, did not have a Valentine himself, he made sure all of the 1,076 girls at Edmond Memorial High School in Oklahoma felt some love this year.
Last summer, the senior at Edmond Memorial came up with the idea of sending an anonymous Valentine’s Day card with a little candy to every single girl in his school to make them feel appreciated, according to KTLA.
He worked odd jobs all summer to raise enough money for his Valentine’s Day surprise.
The cards said, “Remember there will always be people who care about you and I will always be one of them! Love, anonymous.”
“All the girls were surprised this morning,” student Laura Pitcock said.
While William signed all his “Valengrams” anonymously, a good deed like this couldn’t be kept a secret for long in a high school.
The Bulldog student body soon found out who was behind this act of kindness. To show their appreciation, the girls created a giant “Thank You” card for Williams on campus.
“To know that somebody out there cares about them, because that’s one of the best feelings in the world I think,” Williams said.
While Williams didn’t have a Valentine this year, one of the girls who received a Valengram from him said, “It’s just the sweetest gesture, I’m sure he’s gonna have all the girls coming for him now.”
