Obama and his Administration are doing their best to go to the most absurd lengths to keep from going to war with ISIS and deny the increasing dangers posed by the terrorist organization.
Vice President Joe Biden opened the White House summit on “violent extremism” with claims that military force was not the answer, but instead community programs for young aspiring terrorists. Biden started,
“We’re here today because we all understand that in dealing with violent extremism that we need answers that go beyond a military answer. We need answers that go beyond force.”
Biden went on to say that countries need to provide jobs and social opportunities to youths so they do not become violent.
Marie Harf, a spokesperson for the State Department, also made similar comments and received plenty of backlash after she stated what she felt would solve the ISIS issues.
On Monday night during an interview with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Harf said,
“We’re killing a lot of them and we’re going to keep killing more of them. So are the Egyptians, so are the Jordanians. They’re in this fight with us. But we cannot win this war by killing them. We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium to longer term to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs…”
Matthews snapped back at Harf’s comments, saying,
“We’re not going to be able to stop that in our lifetime or fifty lifetimes. There’s always going to be poor people. There’s always going to be poor muslims, and as long as there are poor Muslims, the trumpet’s blowing and they’ll join. We can’t stop that, can we?
But Harf asserted that providing jobs to these crazed-killing psychopaths would be effective in preventing people from joining ISIS.
“We can work with countries around the world to help improve their governance. We can help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people…”
Harf failed to mention how terrorists like Osama bin Laden and several of those involved with the 9/11 attack were from elite Muslim families, had plenty of money, and did not lack any human necessities.
Muslims are attracted to ISIS and to other Jihad-based Islamic Terrorist groups because they are given the permission and encouragement to kill others, often at will. The same evil attracted young Germans to the SS Waffen, young Chinese to the Red Guard, and young Cambodians to the Khmer Rouge.
