Controversial Country Song Stands Up For America

Country singer Jamie Jones has released a defiant new anthem that’s sure to rile up conservatives and liberals alike — just in two very different ways. As Taste of Country points out, promotional mailings have touted it as “the most controversial song of the year.”

The song, which is titled, “Pissed Off Rednecks” touches on the gun control, immigration, Obamacare, religion, government “handouts” and more. The highly conservative track has been viewed over 1.4 million times on Facebook, and when Jones posted in on Facebook, he introduced it with, “While Mrs Jones is gone to the gym I thought I’d do a little songwriting…If it offends ya….middle finger!!!!”

Prior to the weekend, few had heard of Jones, a Centerville, Arkansas native, but the quickly-gone viral song has worked wonders for getting his name out there.

He opens up the song by boldly saying,

Mr. stick-head politician, I got some news for you

If you wan’t to come, tryin’ to take my gun, son you better be bulletproof

And don’t try to tell my children when and where to pray

We ain’t that far gone, we’re still standing on the land of the free and the home of the brave

And he’s just getting started …

No, I won’t push one for English, I just as soon hang up the phone

If you wanna serve in a Muslim church, go and take your ass back home

This is coming from real America, son, and pissed off rednecks like me,” he calls out to close each verse.
