Obama Rainbow Tweet From The White House Backfires And Receives The Reactions You’d Expect

*Update* 6/27/15 8pm: In more recent White House rainbow news, the Obama administration turned the White House rainbow colors Friday night after the Supreme Court ruled gay marriage legal in all 50 states.

President Barack Obama was photographed on top of the steps of Air Force One on Thursday in Jamaica, waving to those below as he boarded the plane.

There happened to be a rainbow in the background.

On Friday, the White House decided to photoshop the photo and tweet it, along with a quote from Obama’s, “With hard work and hope, change is always within our reach.”

Reaction to the White House’s tweet were mostly disgust and irritation.
