The Center for Medical Progress, which is a pro-life, medical ethics group, has released a second undercover video that claims to show a Planned Parenthood doctor “haggling” over aborted fetuses, as well as the abortion methods used to procure “specimens.”
A new undercover video released Tuesday shows Dr. Mary Gatter, the President of the organization’s medical doctors’ council, discussing “less crunchy” techniques to get “whole specimens” and bargaining the price of fetus tissue sales because she wants “a Lamborghini.”
The heavily edited, over eight-minute long video features a discussion between two actors posing as tissue buyers. Over drinks, Gatter and the undercover activists discuss “specimen” prices, eventually settling at $100 for “intact tissue.”
At one point, Gatter seemingly describing a process that she observed at her past clinic in which someone at an outside company would come in to procure tissue. She said that it was an easy arrangement for Planned Parenthood staffers, that they “didn’t have to do anything” and that there was compensation for it, although “patients don’t get anything, of course.”
While Gatter is seen repeatedly stating in the clip — which was filmed in February 2015 — that, ”We’re not in it for the money,” she also uses the word “compensation” to describe a potential arrangement between the buyers and Planned Parenthood affiliates.
Gatter states at one point, “The money is not the important thing for me, but it has to be big enough that it’s worthwhile.” At the end of the video, she laughs says she wants to buy a Lamborghini.
This footage follows a previous video during which Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services, discussed similar issues.
