Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin went after Planned Parenthood with a stream of posts starting on Saturday that all ended with #DefundPlannedParenthood.
She started with a quote from Mother Theresa advocating against abortion, then went on to a quote from Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger and a statistic stating that 80% of the organization’s clinics are located in minority neighborhoods.
The status update is one of several the former governor of Alaska has posted on her Facebook page since several undercover videos of Planned Parenthood executives were released earlier this month showing officials discussing the sale of aborted baby body parts, to which Planned Parenthood claims they have done nothing illegal.
One of the most controversial posts was one that asked, “Which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year?” Below is an image of the Confederate flag next to the Planned Parenthood logo.
She followed up the controversial post with three more, including one reminding viewers of President Barack Obama’s support of Planned Parenthood, another showing a woman holding a sign that reads, “I regret my abortion,” and the last explaining how exorbitant President Cecile Richards’ salary is when her organization claims to help low income women.
Although the string of posts advocating to defund the nation’s largest abortion provider started over the weekend, Palin has called to shut the organization down repeatedly through Facebook over the past week.
