Fourth Undercover Video Shows Planned Parenthood Suggesting Ways to Avoid Legal Consequences for Sale of Aborted Body Parts

Just two days after releasing a third undercover Planned Parenthood video, the pro-life medical ethics group The Center for Medical Progress released a fourth video.

The footage, which was captured on April 7, 2015, focuses on Dr. Savita Ginde, Vice President and Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, allegedly discussing payment per organ that is extracted from aborted fetuses and suggesting ways to avoid legal consequences.

Ginde, who was also briefly featured in the third video, is seen sitting down with two actors posing as tissue buyers before taking them into a pathological laboratory, where she is seen sifting through aborted fetal organs and parts to presumably show the buyers what’s available.

“Oh, look, here’s some organs for you. They’re all attached. Here’s a stomach, heart, kidney, adrenal,” Ginde says in the footage, while dissecting the fetal remains. “I don’t know what else is in there.”

A medical assistant adds, “I don’t see the legs. Did you see any legs?”

As the buyers and Planned Parenthood workers identify body parts from last fetus in the lab, a Planned Parenthood medical assistant announces, “Another boy!” and celebrates intact baby parts as “five stars!”

Warning: The video below is graphic.

While standing over an aborted fetus, Ginde is seen telling the buyers she favors a “per item” arrangement, in response to their suggestion of paying per body part harvested, rather than an a standard flat fee for the entire case.

“I think a per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it,” she said.

Ginde also suggests ways for Planned Parenthood to cover up its liability for the sale of aborted body parts. “Putting it under ‘research’ gives us a little bit of an overhang over the whole thing,” Ginde remarks.

Ginde implies that PPRM’s lawyer, Kevin Paul, is helping the affiliate go around the fetal tissue law. “He’s got it figured out that he knows that even if, because we talked to him in the beginning, you know, we were like, ‘We don’t want to get called on,’ you know, ‘selling fetal parts across states.’”

The Center for Medical Progress also charged that, since Ginde’s clinic reportedly doesn’t use “digoxin or other feticide” during second-trimester abortions, that these babies are potentially born alive.

The Planned Parenthood affiliate for which Ginde works says that it declined to move forward with the proposal outlined in the footage, in which actors said they represented the company BioMax.

“PPRM determined we would not enter into a contract proposed by BioMax because they did not meet our legal and ethical standards,” Vicki Cowart, CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, said in an statement e-mailed after the edited video’s release.

The Senate is expected to vote next week on a motion aimed at defunding Planned Parenthood.
