Fox News host Megyn Kelly opened her show Friday night with heavy criticisms directed at the mainstream media for their biased reporting of Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi testimony.
She blasted journalists for declaring Clinton victorious and emerging largely unscathed after her 11-hour marathon hearing before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
“The major media outlets have not only ignored the single biggest piece of news to emerge from yesterday’s hearings, they have declared Hillary Clinton victorious,” Kelly told her viewers.
She displayed several headlines from the media to support her argument.
Kelly continued, “This, despite clear-cut evidence she, and other administration officials, repeatedly misled the American people in the days and weeks after the terror attack.”
Kelly brought up an email that emerged as evidence during Clinton’s Thursday testimony that proved the Democratic presidential candidate misled the American people.
The email detailed a conference call Clinton had on September, 12, 2012 with the Egyptian Prime Minister, saying they knew the Benghazi attack was not about the anti-Muslim YouTube video, but was instead a planned terrorist attack rather than a protest.
The Fox News host said this was a pretty big deal, yet after watching the mainstream media “you would think we never saw that email.” Kelly concluded the media narrative has been: “She won and it’s over, move on!”
